The Shortlist

As some of you may have guessed from the title of my blog, I’m not very tall. To be specific, I have short legs – 28″ or around 71cm. That’s actually the standard length for a pair of trousers sized as “short”, so short, but not unheard of.

This never used to be an issue, but standover heights on new bikes seem to be every increasing – especially on bikes with the new larger wheel sizes – to the point where I have really struggled to find a bike that fits me.

I have found it so hard to find a full suspension bike that I can actually stand astride, I decided to compile a list of all these bikes that cater for us shorties. These are just the bikes I have come across and I’m always keen to hear of new ones, so if you think I’ve missed something, please let me know and I will add it.

The criteria is a standover height of 72cm or less, that’s all. Sounds easy, so why is it so hard?!
